Protective Registration is useful if you've been a victim of identity fraud, lost documents, or are in a vulnerable situation.

The flag lasts two years and can be renewed. Legitimate applications may take a little longer while extra checks are done.

If fraudulent debts have already been taken out in your name, report them to Action Fraud and dispute them with each lender in writing.
